Reviews about Pacific Ocean Marketplace - Denver / Aurora

This is the biggest and most comprehensive Asian market in the Denver/Boulder metro area. They have food from most Asian countries... China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, plus a little Indian, Thai, and Filipino. They have live, fresh fish/crab/seafood. The produce is fresh. Some Chinese medicine is also available behind the counter. I love this place! (FYI, there's another location in Broomfield.)

Compared to H Mart, I always like to come back to POM because I can always find everything I need. I also enjoy the restaurants and little samples at the entrance. Sometimes there are really good deals on fresh products like 4 bunches of green onions for $1. I really appreciate that there is fresh Tofu - Not on saturdays because until then they are sold out, which is a good sign for freshness. It doesn't smell as fishy as in H Mart when you go to the seafood section and the people are more than happy to help you out if you can't find your product. The cooperation with the mexican groceries is a great addition!

Huge, like the size of a Costco or Sam's. There are endless varieties of Asian cuisine, and a fairly decent selection of Hispanic food as well. Their fresh meat selection is to die for. I was in there for an hour on my first visit and didn't get to explore as much as I wanted. I almost got lost in here, but I didn't mind. Besides the endless food selections, I was very impressed by the home wares selections. Anything from utensils to chairs to essential household goods. I need to try to hot pot restaurant next door associated with this place. It is always packed, especially on cold days.
